| are overlooking about what it costs to produce these pipes. For aluminum bends you are looking at around $45 each for standard bends - custom bends are $55. We'll settle at $50 for rounding. It will take 16 bends to produce a set like this which comes out to $800 just for the bends themselves, nothing assembled, beadrolled, powdercoated. Mild steel came out only slightly heavier than the OEM setup and at a much more affordable price. Polished aluminum is not maintenance-free. I have personally come to the conclusion that T-bolt clamps are not only required for this setup, but present unnecessary hassles working with. The Breeze clamps we are using are a step-up from the cheap pot-metal stamped wormscrew housings and I haven't had any issues with them on my personal Z. I'm sorry this setup isn't priced at bargain-basement levels - despite the few comments about its price, it is still lower than the border kit and trying to produce a similar setup yourself will end up costing you an enormous amount of time for very little savings.
